DPNS has a spot in the Picnic Day Parade! Picnic Day is April 13 and the theme this year is “Adventure Awaits”. The parade begins at 9:30 but you and your child(ren) absolutely must be in the staging area by 9:00 am (there will be more details regarding day-of procedure later). We are signed up as a walking group but wagons, bikes, and strollers are welcome. If you and your child(ren) would like to participate we need to have a waiver filled out and turned in no later than noon on Friday, March 15.
This is open to all DPNS alumni!! But please know we need an individual waiver for each minor participant. For now you can place completed waivers in the PLAYGROUP REP mail slot at 8th St or in Charlotte J’s cubby at Danbury. Adults need to sign the group waiver form that will be located near sign-in binders at each site.

We are using Eventbrite for online sales and they charge a small credit card fee for convenience. If you would like to pay cash or check and avoid that fee we will have options to do so next week at both campuses.

This is our school's largest fundraising event and ALL proceeds go to help our wonderful programs to benefit our children. Help us keep the magic of DPNS and support this great school. Grab a mask and some beads and encourage family and friends to attend. It's going to be a great party!

Thursday, February 7, 7 pm @ 8 th Street: Positive Discipline
Melody Fananapazir will be presenting the topic of Positive Discipline. Melody is a certified Positive Discipline speaker. This theory is based on the book by Dr. Jane Nelsen. The program "teaches the important of social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults. Parenting with Positive Discipline means being kind and firm at the same time, which is effective long-term and helps children feel a connection — a sense of belonging and significance".
