Head Teacher

Davis Parent Nursery School is looking to fill openings in our afternoon program.

At this time, we have two positions that need to be filled. We are looking for two Fully Qualified Teachers to take on the role of Head Teacher. Persons, who will be considered for this position, need to have completed all four of the ECE core classes, totaling 12 units. These courses include Child Development, Child/Family/Community, Introduction to Curriculum, and Health/Safety/Nutrition, or parallel courses.

  • Our school follows the Davis Joint Unified School District calendar. This position will teach and perform administrative duties for our afternoon program, 11:30-3:30 pm, with the possibility of an extension to 5pm.

  • We are looking for teachers who are creative, enthusiastic, energetic and enjoy working as a team to create a play-based school curriculum. Pay scale $17-$30 per hour, depending on experience and education.

  • PTO, sick leave and childcare, for children that are within the program’s age range, are available.

Certification and other requirements needed;

  • Willingness to complete California Mandated Reporter Training and CPR training upon hiring

  • Health screening report (LIC 503), TB clearance, MMR vaccine, and Tdap vaccine

  • Completing and clearing a Livescan check upon hire
